During Taart’s exhibition, our customized cabinet was keeping our secrets of Bhutan1912.
The whole project of Bhutan 1912 is around the treasure box, which kept many forgotten secrets from a forgotten expedition. İt is not a secret, though, that we were exhibiting our polacards and our fictional story’s treasure box in that cabinet amongst other Bhutanese items.
As a performance while the exhibition was running, Gamze was drawing on that cabinet. Every day the visitors could admire the evolution of the artworks and meet the artist in person. From those days many interesting people have become close friends with her.
Just around Taart Sara and Álvaro own Wijn en cava, a very cute Spanish delicatessen shop full of tasty wines, intense cheeses, unforgettable ‘jamon’, delightful olives and much more!! From the very first moment there has been a nice connection with her and also great support for the project itself. After the first exhibition, the cabinet has enjoyed a privileged view of Maastricht inviting pedestrians to come in. İt has been the foody welcome to the store. The artworks in the meantime have been kept cool on her basement until the second exhibition happening in Eindhoven.
Sara and Álvaro have our best appreciation for their kindness and happy spirits. Soon enough the cabinet will come back home; to where it belongs: Wijn en cava.
